Providing community connections
ABOUT US
LGBTnearme.org, a program of the LGBT National Help Center, is a tool to help you find resources and community connections for the LGBTQ+ community. Inclusion in the database is determined by our team, and assessed on an individual basis, based on criteria that focuses on relevance and value to the LGBTQ+ community and LGBTQ+ owned and founded businesses and organization. While we do our best to ensure information is relevant, accurate, and up-to-date, content is strictly informational.
The LGBT National Help Center assumes no responsibility for the organizations listed, their content, or policies of external websites.
LGBT Near Me is a program of the LGBT National Help Center (founded in 1996) which is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization that provides vital peer support, community connections, and resource information. We provide support services to people with questions regarding sexual orientation and/or gender identity and expression. We are the oldest and most comprehensive national organization of its type and scope in the United States, providing critically needed services regardless of age, race or geographic location through our national hotlines and online programs.
We help youth and adults with coming-out issues, safer-sex information, school bullying, family concerns, relationship problems, and a lot more. The people who turn to us for help often live in rural and conservative parts of the country and are frequently feeling severely isolated, closeted and despairing, with literally no one else safe to talk to, where community connections are so important.
